Plans and limits

Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise; what each limit counts; billing through Stripe.

The plans

A plan belongs to an organisation and sets what it may have and do. Every number below is a limit the service enforces; what each one counts is explained underneath. The pricing page lists the same plans.

What each limit counts

LimitTypeDescription
Machines
machines
Paired machines that are not disconnected. Disconnect a machine to free its place.
People
members
People in the organisation, open invitations included. Withdraw an invitation to free its place.
Hosted webhook URLs
hosted_urls
Hosted webhook URLs that are turned on, across every machine. A URL that is turned off does not count.
Hosted deliveries a month
hosted_deliveries_per_month
Deliveries accepted at hosted URLs in a calendar month (UTC). Webhooks sent straight to a machine never count, however many there are.
Webhook bodies kept (days)
payload_retention_days
How long the cloud keeps the webhook bodies machines upload, when the organisation keeps them at all (Settings → keep webhook bodies). Older bodies are pruned; the delivery records stay.
Notification channels
notification_channels
Slack, webhook and email targets for alerts, together.
Organisation API keys
api_keys
Organisation API keys that are not revoked. A person's own CLI and connected-app keys are not counted.
API requests a minute per key
api_requests_per_minute
Requests a minute per key, on the REST API and the hosted MCP server; more get 429 rate_limited with a Retry-After.

Billing through Stripe

Paid plans are billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly. Cancelling keeps the plan until the end of the period already paid for, then the organisation returns to Free. Invoices and receipts come from Stripe. A payment that fails does not switch the plan off at once: Stripe retries for days, and the plan stays in force meanwhile.

What happens at a limit

A limit refuses the next thing, with a message that says which limit was reached and what to do: pairing one more machine, inviting one more person, turning on one more hosted URL, adding a channel or a key, or a hosted delivery past the month's count. Nothing already running stops, nothing already paired, invited or turned on is removed, and deliveries sent straight to a machine are never counted. The dashboard shows how much of each limit the organisation uses.

Enterprise

Your terms, in writing: machines, people and hosted deliveries as agreed, webhook bodies kept up to a year, invoicing and a written agreement, and a named contact on the Skillhook team. Write to support@skillhook.dev.

Where to see and change the plan

Billing in the dashboard shows the plan, every limit with what the organisation uses of it, and lets an admin or owner choose a plan, switch between monthly and yearly, cancel, and open the invoices. The same numbers come back from the get_billing tool and GET /api/v1/billing; GET /api/v1/pricing lists the plans without a key. An admin key can ask for a Checkout link with create_checkout_link, which a person then opens: no tool ever moves money.
