Install
Install the plugin
The skillhook repository is a Claude Code, Codex and Cursor plugin. It registers two MCP servers, this machine and your organisation, and a skill that teaches the agent to triage and operate the fleet.
Step 1
Add the plugin
Pick your agent.
Type these in a Claude Code session, then run the login command in a terminal.
Step 2
Then log in once
In a terminal on the same machine.
It asks for an organisation API key, which an admin creates under Settings, API keys (it is shown once), and keeps it in ~/.skillhook/.env as SKILLHOOK_CLOUD_API_KEY, never printed. From then on the plugin's skillhook-cloud server and every skillhook cloud command use it; skillhook cloud logout removes it.
The command needs skillhook 0.7.0 or newer on the machine: npm install -g @meterapp/skillhook.
What you get
Two servers and a skill
The agent sees the machine in front of it and the organisation behind it, and knows what to do with both.
Without the plugin
Just the hosted MCP server
The same tools from the cloud alone, with the key in SKILLHOOK_CLOUD_API_KEY. skillhook mcp --print-config prints the configuration for any MCP client; skillhook mcp --cloud serves the same tools locally.
Claude Code, one command.
Cursor, Claude Desktop and any client that expands environment variables.
claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors sign in with the browser: add https://skillhook.dev/api/mcp as a connector and approve it for one of your organisations (see connectors). A ChatGPT custom GPT can also import https://skillhook.dev/openapi.json as Actions with Bearer authentication and gets every operation.
